Visiting our School
We have several key opportunities every year for prospective parents and children to visit our school, see our fantastic facilities and see our students and staff in action.
In addition to the below events for parents, we offer a wide range of opportunities to enable pupils to experience Woolmer Hill School during Years 5 and 6. Please click here to view our Transition Map.

OPEN EVENING 2025
Our annual Open Evening for prospective parents, carers and students will be held on Thursday 2nd October 2025, between 16:30 and 19:00.
This is a chance for prospective students to visit with their families, and to tour the school, meet staff and current students and get a taste of life at Woolmer Hill School.

Details of the Open Evening are below:

| Time: | 16:30 - 19:00 (Please be aware that the event finishes at 19:00, and in order to fully explore what is on offer we recommend you allow at least an hour to tour the school, so please arrive in plenty of time) |
| Who can attend: | Anyone is welcome to attend, but this is of particular relevance to families who will be applying for secondary school places for September 2026 or 2027 (Year 5/6 students and their parents). |
| Headteacher's speech: | 17:00 and repeated at 18:00 in the main Hall (seats need to be booked via Eventbrite - please use the link here) |
| Tours: | Available throughout the evening, you do not need to book a tour. Guests are also welcome to walk around the school without a tour guide. |
| Parking: | This event always generates a huge amount of interest in the local community. We ask that where possible you car share, or park and stride to the school. There will be car parking available in the car park at the front of the school, but this is limited. |
OCTOBER 'WORKING DAY' TOURS FOR PARENTS
Following our annual Open Evening we will be offering prospective parents, with children in Year 6, an additional opportunity to view the school, this time during a normal working day. These tours are primarily for Year 6 parents as the deadline to apply for secondary school places will be imminent (31st October).
Year 5 parents are able to attend Coffee Mornings and Tours in the Summer Term 2026 and again in the October of Year 6.

Please note that the deadline to apply for a place for Year 7 in September 2026 is 31st October 2025.
