Parent Governor since 2015
I have lived in Haslemere since 2004 and my three children have all attended, currently attend or will attend Woolmer HilI.
I decided to become a school governor because I have always been passionate about supporting our local schools and felt I could contribute to the successful management of the school. I work as an analyst in the Civil Service, currently based in the Department of Business and have many years of project management experience as well as collecting, analysing and reporting on complex data.
On becoming a Governor, I was surprised by the very wide range of issues the Governors cover but have really enjoyed the challenge. I have always been interested in improving and promoting attainment of our pupils. I am on the Teaching and Learning committee and am focused on the monitoring of the overall progress our pupils make and assessing their achievements by Year 11.
In my spare time, I help to run the Friends of Woolmer Hill and teach tap dancing!
