Moving to Haslemere in 1997, I ran the UK Silicones Division of Rhodia, once the largest chemical company in France. Our Hampshire laboratory provided significant technical support to various industries. Undoubtedly schools have an important part to play in the provision of careers advice.
I was a Community Governor at another local secondary school from 2006 to 2017. I believe Woolmer Hill Academy has the potential to become Outstanding.
I hold a PhD in chemistry. One third of my career has been in research, one third in marketing and a final third in general management. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and speak both French and some German. I take a particular interest in the teaching of science and modern foreign languages.
