Would you like to help support Woolmer Hill School and make a real difference for students?
The Friends of Woolmer Hill are always looking for new members and volunteers to help raise funds for the school across three events we regularly run (Fireworks, Quiz and Colour Run). Whether you can offer regular support or simply spare the occasional hour, every contribution is greatly appreciated.
Our first meeting of the year will be:

20/09/2026Last week, Debate Club argued whether Home Learning should be banned. The result was very surprising with 7 voting to keep it and 3 voting to ban it!
The group were practising their Oracy and Listening skills, plus demonstrating the skill of representing an argument they didn't necessarily agree with.

18/09/2026Calling all Year 11 students:
Godalming College Open Evening = Thursday 24th September
Application Deadline = Monday 2nd November
18/09/20261 box of rations, 3 groups and 1 starter, main, pudding and drink selection for 8 Army personnel.
With minimal direction, each group set about picking items from the ration box to whip up enough food for 8 troops. Oracy and listening skills were in use when trying to figure out how to use dried food pouches to make a palatable meal.
The Army chefs and Mrs Everson were our taste testers and were really impressed with the final products. Great job Year 10...
We'd like to extend a huge thanks to the Army chef team for coming to Woolmer Hill today.
16/09/2026We very much doubt these incredible chocolate éclairs, made by our Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students, will make it home before being eaten, so we thought we'd share just how brilliant they were.

14/09/2026Mr Clayton is leading a series of house assemblies to reinforce the importance of our core routines, ensuring students can make the most of every moment in the classroom to support their learning and personal development.
This morning, it was the turn of Blackdown House. As always, our students demonstrated excellent engagement, listening attentively and contributing positively throughout the assembly.

Today, our superb Year 7s embraced their Proud to Belong behaviours by signing up to their chosen clubs.
Freshers' Fair will be on again tomorrow lunchtime in the gym and with a huge list of clubs and activities to choose from, there really is something for everyone.
