Parent Governor since 1st July 2019
(Chair of Teaching, Learning and Standards Committee)
I have lived in Haslemere since 2004 and our three children attended or currently attend Woolmer Hill School. I decided to become a School Governor because I have always been passionate about supporting our local schools. I work as an analyst in the Civil Service, currently based in the Department of Business and have many years of project management experience as well as collecting, analysing and reporting on complex data. On becoming a Governor, I was quickly surprised by the very wide range of issues the Governors cover. I have always been interested in improving and promoting attainment of our pupils and, on the Teaching and Learning committee, am focused on monitoring the overall progress our pupils make and assessing their achievements by Year 11. In my spare time, I help to run the Friends of Woolmer Hill and teach tap dancing!
