23/03/2026Thank you to everyone who has signed up for our community choir, the response has been incredible!
Our first rehearsal will take place on Thursday 26th March from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
All resources will be provided, so there is no need to bring anything, just come along as you are. We are really looking forward to singing together and having a great time!
23/03/2026We have a small number of wild cherry, rowan and silver birch saplings left for any students and families wanting to adopt a tree! They even come with instructions and an official certificate of adoption 🤩
These will be available to collect from the hall at the end of the day on 23rd and 24th March.
20/03/2026Huge congratulations to our amazing Year 7 students! 🌿👏
Their creativity, teamwork, and dedication shone through as they designed a fantastic Tree Champion to help lead our school towards achieving the Green Tree Silver Award. 🌳✨
We are so proud of your passion for the environment and the difference you are making—keep up the brilliant work!

16/03/2026🎶 Join Our Community Choir 🎶
We’re excited to be launching a Community Choir at Woolmer Hill school, and the response so far has been fantastic! Students and staff are all welcome – and the best part is no auditions and no experience needed. Just a love of singing and having fun together. 🎤
Parents and carers should now have received a letter with a link to an interest form so we can get an idea of numbers. If your child would like to take part and hasn’t signed up yet, please encourage them to complete the form.
🎵 Weekly rehearsals: Thursdays at 3:30pm in the hall
🎵 Open to all students and staff
🎵 No auditions required
We are hoping to hold our first rehearsal in the last week before half term, so please sign up as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
We can’t wait to start singing together! 🎶
13/03/2026On Wednesday, students from Woolmer Hill visited local STEM employers on Surrey Research Park to gain first-hand insights into the working life and career opportunities.
This was made possible by the team at SATRO, the education and employability skills charity who partnered with Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, ipTEST and Actica Consulting for this visit.
Experiences like this help make careers in science, engineering and technology more visible and accessible for students.

12/03/2026The weather Gods were kind this week as Year 11 Geography students completed their Human Geography fieldwork, and enjoyed a walking tour of Portsmouth City Centre, the waterfront and Gunwharf Quays.
Students were entirely focused on seeing their urban case study come alive and understand the impact of urban planning and the significance of Portsmouth as a UK city.
The Geography department couldn't have been prouder of the superb engagement from all students involved.
