Home Learning

We believe that home learning is an important way of reinforcing and developing the learning that has taken place in the classroom. It also helps to develop the learner's ability to work independently and demonstrate and develop the transferable learning attributes.

It is strongly recommended that all students, in addition to set home learning work, carry out some reading each and every day.

Home learning will be monitored closely, and feedback provided to students.

28/04/2026On Friday 17th April, our Year 10 students attended the Careers Fair at Godalming College. This inspiring event gave students the opportunity to explore a wide range of future career pathways, speak with professionals from different industries, and start thinking seriously about their ambitions beyond school. From hands-on experiences to insightful conversations, it was a valuable step in helping them make informed choices about their futures. A fantastic opportunity for learning and inspiration—well done to all involved and thank you to Waverley Federation for organising the event.

24/04/2026Over the Easter break, our first-ever STEM trip to Florida departed with 38 excited Year 10s and 5 staff 🇺🇸✈️. Based in Orlando, then Sarasota, there are many highlights to share with you, and everywhere we went, people commented on how lovely our students were. 🥰 After a long flight, our very first day on 1st April comprised of a morning at an interactive science centre and a relaxing afternoon of games on the beach. The perfect 1st day was then rounded off nicely by NASA putting on a very special rocket launch for us .... 😁👍👨‍🚀🌞⚽️🥎🤾‍♂️🤸‍♀️🏖️🇺🇸🚀🚀🚀 Look out for part 2 of our adventures coming soon ...

16/04/2026Year 9 students took part in Basic Life Support training yesterday with the help of South East Coast Ambulance service. Students started the day unsure of their ability to save a life, but finished feeling confident and empowered 💪 #ProudToBelong #ProudToAchieve

1/04/2026At the end of term, Mr Merritt, House Community Lead, was incredibly proud to share a total of 150 Easter egg donations. Evenly split between Haslemere Food Bank and Haslemere Youth Hub, we want to say a huge well done to our House and Deputy captains who have worked hard all week collecting the donations. We are extremely grateful to all students and staff who donated and supported this effort. Your kindness will make a real difference to our community. #ProudToBelong

30/03/2026Year 9 have been busy this term observing insects, this culminated in their creation of insect relief tiles. The students have been absorbed in creating intricate patterns and textures onto their insect, inspired by the artist Rosamond Monks. #ProudToAchieve #ProudToBelong
