Some key dates for your diaries are below:

1st March 2026	Year 7 offers sent to parents by local authority
4th March 2026	Woolmer Hill Welcome letter sent to new Year 7 parents
13th March 2026	Deadline for parents to accept child's place at WH for September 2026
16th March 2026	Online admissions form sent to new Year 7 parents
27th March 2026	Deadline to complete the online admissions form
4th June 2026 (TBC)	Meet the Teacher event at WH for all new Year 7s and parents (held after school)
30th June 2026	New Year 7 Induction Day at WH
30th June 2026	Induction Evening for new Year 7 parents and students at WH
27th and 28th August 2026	Summer School for new Year 7 students at WH
2nd September 2026	First day of school for new Year 7s
2nd September 2026	Information evening for new Year 7 parents at WH

In addition to the above, there will be visits to primary schools by Woolmer Hill staff, and additional transition events at Woolmer Hill School for some groups of students.

3/03/2026This morning, Year 9 students had their options assembly. This Thursday they will have options lessons, to get a feel for the various subjects and we look forward to seeing our Year 9 parents for Thursday's options evening meeting.

28/02/2026Year 7 book club have been judging the Royal Society’s Young People’s Book Award—an annual celebration of the best science book for children, voted on by student panels nationwide. After six weeks of reading and reviewing the shortlist, our group cast their votes. It was a tight race, but our winner was The Rocks Book by Nancy Dickman, published by @lonelyplanet! Our vote is now on its way to @theroyalsociety, with the national winner revealed in April. Fantastic work, Year 7! #schoollibraries #youngscibooks #readingforpleasure #STEMreads
