Co-opted Governor - Since October 2017
I retired in March 2017 and, towards the fulfilment of an objective I had identified when planning my retirement, I became a community governor in October 2017.
After University and the College of Law, I started my career in 1981, at a law firm in the City of London, as a commercial real estate lawyer. When I retired, after 11 years in private practice, and just over 24 years as an in-house lawyer, I was leading one of the legal teams at Lloyds Banking Group, with responsibility for all legal issues pertinent to the Group’s ownership and occupation of its premises worldwide.
I am married to Susan, who is the School Secretary. We have two children, both of whom attended Woolmer Hill. They were at the School between 2010 and 2017, and they have both moved on to Godalming College, with good collections of GCSEs and friends, and also with many happy memories.
