Update 19th March

As of Monday 23rd March Woolmer Hill School will only be open for certain students (children of key workers, students with EHCPs and vulnerable students).

Please see the letter sent home to parents today:

From Monday 23rd March students not attending school will be set work daily on Insight, for completion at home.

We will continue to support our students and families over the coming weeks and we will continue to update you and communicate with you regularly.

Following the Education Secretary and Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, we are expecting to receive further guidance in due course. This will then allow us to consider the best way forward. 

As a trust, we are fully supportive of the principles, aims and objectives of these announcements. We will work tirelessly to put in place measures which allow our vital services and the vulnerable to be supported in the most appropriate way.

We will endeavour to update you as soon as possible, as further guidance is available from the appropriate agencies.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work together to bring about a positive conclusion to this situation.

New guidance for households with symptoms

Yesterday, the Government introduced new guidance on whole household isolation in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak:

Exceptional travel advisory notice

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) now advises British people against all non-essential travel worldwide. This advice takes effect immediately and applies initially for a period of 30 days.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented international border closures and other restrictions. All countries may restrict travel without notice.
