30/06/2026Last week, our students completed the final task for the Green Tree School Award, and to celebrate, they headed outside for a French Tree Party 🌳🧺
They enjoyed a taste of French cheese, while exploring vocabulary connected to trees and nature. Students got creative by designing beautiful calligrams in the shape of trees, combining language lesson with artistic expression.

Be a Journalist Day 2026
In honour of BBC Young Reporter, a small group of Year 8 students took part in a 'Be a Journalist Day'. Mrs Ewing ran a session on research and fact-checking before students researched a topic of their choice. Students conducted interviews and wrote their own articles based upon their findings; topics ranged from AI, sportswashing, rising costs, and David Attenborough. We hope you enjoy reading some of their work.
