WELL DONE YEAR 11 2023

Year 11 students this year have performed exceptionally well in their GCSEs. Despite lots of articles in the press about results dropping nationally this year due to grade boundaries being returned to pre-pandmic levels, our students have produced one of our best sets of results ever, closely matching last year's phenomenal progress, and exceeding any pre-pandemic results.

Despite disruption to their learning in Years 8 and 9, this cohort of students have shown great resilience and determination post-Covid and have done themselves proud. Staff have also worked exceptionally hard to ensure that any effects of the pandemic on students' learning were minimised.

With results in each subject exceeding national results, and nearly 40% of all grades being achieved at grades 7 to 9 our students have once again made us exceptionally proud.

There were fantastic results for many individual students, but some standout performances that deserve a special mention are:

Josie W - achieved a truly exceptional set of results with a clean sweep of eleven grade 9s

Lola V - Eight grade 9s, one grade 8, one grade 7

Daniel B - Six grade 9s, four grade 8s

Eddie W - Six grade 9s, four grade 8s

William M - Six grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 7

Laura S - Four grade 9s, two grade D*s, three grade 8s and one grade 7

Ellie G - Five grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s.

We will miss our Year 11s, they have been an amazing group of young people to work with, but we know that they have many opportunities opening up for them now as they move on to the next stage of their education. We wish them all the very best and would also like to thank parents for their support.

Well done Year 11, you have been amazing!
